Roland DeBruyn

Vice President, Engineering & Operations

Roland joined TTI in 2013. Prior to 2013, he spent more than 27 years as an engineer in the upstream oil and gas industry. For the past 15 years, he has focused on the development and field implementation of enhanced coalbed methane and microbial enhanced oil recovery. Roland’s expertise includes reservoir engineering, project development, economics, application and regulation of new technologies, groundwater quality and management of both conventional and unconventional reservoirs. He is the co-author of several technical papers and co-inventor of numerous domestic and international patents. He is now focused on evaluating the performance of numerous mature waterfloods for deployment of TTI's BioEOR process and analyzing results. 

Roland’s prior experience includes work at Luca Technologies, Fidelity Exploration & Production, Preston Reynolds & Co., Hallwood Petroleum and Dome Petroleum. 

He earned a BS in Chemical Engineering from University of Calgary and an MBA from the University of Phoenix. He is a member of Society of Petroleum Engineers and the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta.
